The Mets have acted swiftly to offset the loss of first baseman Lucas Duda, acquiring veteran James Loney in a trade with the Padres, the team announced Saturday. The Padres will receive cash considerations.

The Cincinnati Reds have acquired two international signing slots from the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for Minor League right-hander Franderlyn Romero.
Only certain draft picks may be traded, but teams are able to trade individual signing allotments, subject to certain restrictions.
It's not yet known which slots were sent to Cincinnati.
The Yankees today announced that they have acquired right-handed pitcher J.R. Graham from the Twins in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations and optioned him to Double-A Trenton.
Graham, 26, owns a 10.80 ERA (1.2IP, 2ER) in one relief appearance for the Twins in 2016. The Livermore, Calif., native is 1-1 with a 5.10 ERA (65.1IP, 76H, 43R/37ER, 22BB, 55K, 10HR) in 40 career games (one start) over parts of two Major League seasons (2015-16) with the Twins. He has spent the bulk of 2016 with Triple-A Rochester, going 0-2 with three saves and a 10.80 ERA (8.1IP, 10ER) in eight relief appearances. Graham was selected by the Twins from Atlanta in the Rule 5 Draft on December 11, 2014 and spent the entire 2015 season with Minnesota at the big league level.
Over five minor league seasons, Graham is 19-14 with three saves and a 3.56 ERA (321.0IP, 304H, 139R/127ER, 90BB, 247K, 11HR) in 82 appearances (61 starts). He was originally selected by the Braves in the fourth round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft.
In a corresponding move, OF Mason Williams was transferred to the 60-day disabled list.
The Chicago White Sox have acquired Anthony Ranaudo from the Texas Rangers just days after the right-hander walked five batters in one inning.
Texas received Minor League pitching prospect Matt Ball in the deal. He was assigned to Class A Hickory.
Chicago is sending Ranaudo to Triple-A Charlotte.
Ranaudo, 26, is 5-4 with a 6.33 ERA in 13 career appearances, including nine starts, with Boston and Texas.
The Atlanta Braves have traded Jhoulys Chacin to the Los Angeles Angels for minor league left-hander Adam McCreery.
Chacin, 1-2 with a 5.40 ERA in five starts this season, had been scheduled to start for the Braves on Wednesday.
The Braves have recalled right-hander Williams Perez, 24, from Triple-A Gwinnett to make the start.
"The thing I'm excited about with the trade is we get to put Williams Perez in the rotation," Fredi Gonzalez said. "... We're excited to add him to our rotation and get younger. That's what we wanted to do."
The Atlanta Braves have acquired Anthony Recker from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for cash considerations.
Recker, a former New York Mets catcher, will report to Triple-A Gwinnett.
